So, before we go any further, I want to be clear that the title of this post was written with this in mind. FLASHBACK!

Anyway, I know that I haven’t posted in a little while, but I’ve been really hard at work trying to get some shit done. Most important, trying to get my work up for my Mid-Program Review. It’s a super huge pass fail sort of deal right in the middle of my grad program. Basically, you have to get all your best stuff together and show a mysterious panel of three people from MCAD what you’ve been up to and defend your work. The whole process is that weird sorta stressful on purpose thing school does all the time. It all sorta reminded me of this, to be honest.

But, yeah I passed. And won the Merit Scholarship. So, party. A few more photos after jump.

Sorry about the post title, but all I really have to say about that is, “Oh, HELL YEAH!” After the hustle of end times, I actually got 14 pages done in time for my final critique of the semester. There are still some things on the pages that need a little work, (hopefully all the photos are of a low enough resolution to hide all the spelling mistakes), but if feels good to have actually gotten this far into the book.

Also, it looks like Zander Cannon is going to be the guest for the critque, which is pretty cool. I’m sure he doesn’t remember, but I’ve actually talked to him a few times before, at some comic cons about comics and stuff, but now who’s work are we going to talk about, Zander!? My, how the table’s have turned… BUT! The weather here in Minneapolis just turned insane, so who knows how peoples’ plans will change?

In the post tags, I’ve been calling it Dr. Comic, and for the crit I called it Dr. Eric Attar and The $!@# Sweat Nurse Vs. The Chrononaut Part One, but I have a feeling that might change by the time the book is done.

Anyway, I guess that’s it. There are a few more photos after the jump if you’d like

So, I’m still throwing it down trying to get pages done for my final crit on the 10th. A week ago, I actually had more time than I thought I had, but now I have less time than I’d like. Anyway, here’s a quick panel in progress for y’all:

Who can say what horrors await them, beyond the threshold?

Here’s a quick look at a page in progress. What’s missing, you ask? Well, isn’t the answer obvious? What’s missing is ACTION!

Truth be told, though? There won’t be any running in the finished page.

UPDATE: Click here to see some sweet pics of the below mentioned Thanksgiving dinner dishes.

My fiancée made an awesome Thanksgiving dinner, but Dio got cancer, so I’d say that Thanksgiving was a bit of wash. I was able to get some work done over the holiday, though. I’ve really gotta step it up over the weekend. Seeing family and shit really cuts into the studio time.

Anyway, here’s a three panel sampler platter of this weeks work:

I know what you’re thinking, and you’re right. It is just like a rainbow in the dark.

To continue my practice in the Sean Phillips School Of Comic Book Bloging, here is a more finished version of that panel from a few days ago:
